Special trips + events

Throughout the year various events are organised for the young people, such as BBQ’s and games in the park (often on Bank Holidays). DCF Youth Club has also run camping weekends in previous years (during the summer holidays) where the youth get the chance to camp in tents, learn, have fun and build friendships. When such an event takes place we will inform Parents/Guardians of the details by letter.

In addition to the above, we also try to plan 1 or more trips each year such as ice skating, bowling or similar, and these often happen at the end of a school term such as just before Christmas. Spaces on these trips are limited and so those who attend the most DCF Youth Club events get priority. Parents/Guardians will be notified of any costs involved.

New this year, we took the young people to the 2011 UK Calvary Chapel Youth Retreat, hosted by Calvary Chapel York.  This took place from the 27-29th May and was a fantastic time away - with lots of learning, fun and making new friends - and we already have plans to attend next year!

The Annual Youth Club Ball

Each year, in the Autumn term, we hold a ball for our Youth Club members, with a smart dress code and 3-course meal.  This always proves a good chance to dress up, but also for a fun evening that is one of the highlights of the youth club calendar.
