The book of
Leviticus, which means, “pertaining to Levites,” concerns
how the Levitical priests conducted the sacrifices and
supervised the worship of the nation of Israel. This
system is foreign to us, because this covenant has now been
set aside that God might establish a better covenant with
us. This covenant of the sacrifice of the animals could
never make anything perfect; it can only point ahead to the
one and only sacrifice, Jesus, whereby we could be brought
into full perfection before the Lord..
