Deuteronomy
The introduction below is from
Chuck Smith's Old Testament Study Guide,

for details):
The word
“Deuteronomy” means the second law. This is Moses’ final
address to the people. It probably covers the last
month-and-a-half of Moses’ life. He is about 120 years old.
Before he died, Moses wanted the next generation to
understand the importance of obedience to God’s
commandments. Many had been born in the wilderness, so Moses
communicates God’s words, God’s faithfulness, and exhorts
the people to obedience.
Many didn’t
see the miracle of the Red Sea being parted, or remember the
horrible bondage in Egypt. Growing up as children, they
weren’t aware of the hazards of the wilderness, so he wanted
to give a good history lesson. These are his final
exhortations prior to their crossing the Jordan and entering
into the land. He is encouraging them to go in and take the
land that God had promised.
