Things are a-changin'
We are currently completing a
major and exciting upgrade to the DCF web site. This
means that there is a lot of new and updated content, a new
design and some useful changes in the background that mean
there will be new features such as live-streaming of our
Sunday morning and Tuesday evening Bible studies, the chance
to watch again online, or download video via podcast.
We have had
some of these changes ready since April 2011, and so we
wanted to get them online as soon as possible. Because
of this there are some pages - such as this one - that are
still being updated/created. We're sorry for any
inconvenience - however we are confident the changes are
worth the wait.
If you cannot access a part of
the web site that you really need, or have any ideas of what
you would like to see - simply send an email to
info@dcf-online.co.uk.
We check email daily, although it may take a couple of days
for a response.
For HIS glory!

Daniel
The introduction below is from
Chuck Smith's Old Testament Study Guide,
available from all good Christian bookshops (contact
DCF
for details):
The prophecies
in the book of Daniel are so detailed and accurate that
scholars who don't believe in the Bile as the inspired Word
of God have trouble accepting Daniel as the author of this
book. All the evidence we need is the fact that Jesus
ascribed the authorship to Daniel in Matthew 24:15. Jesus said Daniel wrote Daniel, and that is all the evidence
I need.
The book of
Daniel is not only one of the most exciting books of the
Bible, but a very important book. The book of
Revelation would be almost impossible to understand without
the prophecies of Daniel. The book not only predicted
the various kingdoms as they would unfold in history, but it
predicted the coming of the Messiah to the very day.
When Daniel
wrote about the Babylonian Kingdom, he wrote in the Aramaic
language. When he wrote about the Hebrews, he wrote in
Hebrew. He also used three Greek words that were the
names for instruments. He was well-educated and used
the Aramaic and Hebrew languages with ease.
